First entering the power industry in 1949, when the company was awarded its first power station contract for the extension of Bunnerong Power Station in NSW, Bilfinger Berger Services has evolved to become a major provider to generators, network managers and industrial end-users, with activities in every state.
Bilfinger Berger Australia chairman, Nick Greiner, discusses the possible impacts of the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme on the Australian power industry. The lunch was attended by more than 70 representatives from power generators, distributors and retailers, gas and water utilities, telecommunications companies and industry bodies.
The company's gas-fired generation projects in Australia include the Braemar 2 Power Station, the Neerabup Power Station and the Mortlake Power Station.
