The Energy Networks Association (ENA) has re-elected SP AusNet Managing Director Nino Ficca, TransGrid Managing Director Peter McIntyre and ENERGEX Chief Executive Officer Terry Effeney to the ENA Board.
Along with the re-election of board members, the Annual General Meeting saw the release of the ENA Annual Review 2010.
The Review included details of ENA’s planned activities in 2011, which will include a focus on:
- Augmenting and expanding the natural gas networks strategically;
- Accelerating the adoption of natural gas for electricity generation, including distributed generation;
- Encouraging the increased uptake of natural gas vehicles;
- Developing an agreed industry position in respect of carbon pricing; and,
- Promoting the efficient end use of natural gas.
The ENA Gas Committee will now develop an implementation plan for approval to proceed in February 2011.
