Fly camp contract awarded for Wheatstone

Decmil Group, a susbsidiary of Decmil Australia, has been awarded a contract to design, supply and install the fly camp for the $A29 million Chevron-operated Wheatstone LNG Development.
The contract is worth aproximately $A70 million, with work commencing in December 2011 and completed by August 2012.
The Wheatstone LNG Development will comprise an onshore LNG plant located approximately 12 km south of Onslow on the Pilbara coast. Its foundation phase will consist of two LNG trains with a combined capacity of 8.9 million tonnes per annum (MMt/a) and a domestic gas plant.
The Wheastone LNG Devlopment was recently granted final investment decision by the Aiustralian Federal Government, and will begin production in 2016.
