Scott Pearce from Gas Today publisher Great Southern Press said that the magazine shared many similarities with Gas Speak attendees.

Gas Today is young, and keen to be heard. Also, like Gas Speak, this magazine seeks to be a conduit for members of the gas industry to communicate both with each other and those in the wider community. Finally, and importantly, Gas Today will be representative of the entire gas industry and dedicated to the industry’s future – a challenge that all of us here are taking on,” Mr Pearce said.

Gas Today seeks to achieve many things – to present a united voice to those outside the industry, such as politicians, policy makers, opinion makers and the wider public; to assist in forging greater links between those in the industry; and to help industry members gain an insight on how issues and challenges within one sector of the industry affect them.

In addition, as the energy debate moves to the forefront of the minds of Australians, it seeks to assist the gas industry in delivering solutions to the community – in particular, by highlighting the increasingly important role gas can play in a carbon constrained future.
