FutureGAS is Australia’s national gas conference and exhibition, bringing together all sectors of the industry – from exploration, production, distribution, transmission, compression and appliances – to help build on the rapid growth of natural gas within the nation.
A recent Australian Bureau of Statistics report, entitled Energy Account, Australia highlights the considerable interest generated in Australia, regarding the supply of natural gas. Natural gas supply for the period 2006-07, was measured at 2,007 petajoules (PJ), an increase of 44 per cent from 2001-02 levels.
Exports of natural gas in the form of LNG doubled from 413 PJ in 2001-02, to 827 PJ in 2006-07.
