L&M Energy wants to explore Canterbury Basin for CSG
Mon, 19 April 2010
L&M Energy has applied for a licence to explore for coal seam gas (CSG) in the onshore Canterbury Basin, northwest of Christchurch, New Zealand.
The wholly-owned permit covers an area of 13,440 square kilometres.
The company is engaging in a CSG drilling program across its tenements on both the North and South islands.
In March 2010 L&M Energy completed its acquisition of L&M CSG, which booked New Zealand's first independently certified CSG reserves, 173 petajoules of 3P at Ohai on the South Island in 2009.
