The company utilises cutting edge combined heat and power technologies to develop and implement eco-friendly energy solutions for sustainability.

MTU’s gas-fuelled energy modules and generator sets combine the highest in performance levels – with outputs ranging from 100 kilowatts to 2.2 megawatts – to generate electricity and heat locally, saving you energy by allowing for optimum adjustment to demand and by avoiding any transmission losses.

Omitting 50 per cent less CO2 than energy generated by conventional means, when teamed with an MTU Onsite Energy absorption chiller system, economy is further enhanced, as any surplus heat is converted into energy for cooling. Packaging this with gas-fuelled spark ignition engines allows for any unused energy to be transferred to the grid as backup.

Many of these systems have already completed well over 100,000 hours of service and still continue to reliably supply heat and electricity day after day. Buildings like Santos Place, Green Square, and the University of New South Wales Lowy Cancer Research Centre depend on MTU’s modules for their reliability – conclusive proof of the company’s engine technology.
