Federal Minister for Resources and Energy Martin Ferguson has awarded nine new offshore exploration permits, enabling petroleum exploration investment worth $A380 million.
The permits are located offshore Western Australia and have been awarded to Woodside, Shell, Mitsui E&P, Cottesloe Oil and Gas, Strike Energy, WHL Energy and Santos.
