According to advisory software firm Intelligent Energy Systems (IES), the Queensland STTM hub dynamics will prove to be insightful considering the bulk of gas reserves and construction within the state.

As stated by IES, “Data for all the gas markets controlled by the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) are published in discrete reports (CSV files) all of which require significant manual labour to collect and analyse.

“This proves difficult for the gas market analyst because they spend more time collecting and collating this data rather than analysing and extracting insights”.

IES have therefore developed two commercially available software tools to assist gas industry professionals collate and understand STTM data generated by the new Queensland hub more easily. One solution creates and maintains a personal database so that all of the published information gathered by an individual can be analysed quickly. The second option provides a portal to IES’s own database that allows individuals to view and extract data as required.
