International energy companies meet ahead of Gastech 2014

Ahead of the 2014 Gastech Conference and Exhibition, taking place from 24-27 March 2014 in Korea, KOGAS and dmg::events – the organisers of the Gastech event – jointly hosted international energy companies and key stakeholders of the leading natural gas and LNG exhibition, at an Exhibitor Day in July.

The Exhibitor Day provided an opportunity for international and local companies to network and discuss how to deepen their involvement with the 2014 event. A series of presentations provided participants with more information before the event. Companies interested in Gastech were also able to attend to network with current participants and to learn more about how Gastech will present new business opportunities for their organisations.

“KOGAS is proud to be the host of the Gastech Conference and Exhibition. The Exhibitor Day is our opportunity to meet and speak to the exhibitors and sponsors before the 2014 event,”? said KOGAS Acting Chief Executive Officer Min Youngwoo before the function.

“We are also looking forward to meeting with companies and industry associates who are interested in finding out more about business opportunities in Korea at Gastech.”?

Among some of the companies who attended the Exhibitor Day were Chevron, Nigeria LNG, Yokogawa, Technip, Shell, Cheniere, Chiyoda, Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd and more. A total of 220 representatives from 115 international companies have already confirmed their attendance at the 2014 event.

At the time of writing, dmg::events has reported that almost 85 per cent of the stands on the show floor have already been sold.

Gastech 2014’s Event Director Paul Sinclair noted that “With Korea being the very heart of Asia’s natural gas and LNG market, companies are looking to tap into this burgeoning economy. Gastech offers a platform and acts as a stepping stone for international companies to do business in what many regard as the most important region for LNG and natural gas. The forthcoming event has received unprecedented interest from global industry players.”?
