Real Energy has completed a diagnostic fracture injection test (DFIT) on the Tamarama-3 well at its Cooper Basin-located Windorah Gas Project.
The DFIT derives stress and reservoir parameters for fine tuning or optimisation of the fracture stimulation design and completion.
Real reported the data from the test is consistent with pre-drill assessments, with frac modelling now being conducted and fracture stimulation operations commencing later this quarter.
Managing Director Scott Brown said the company was pleased with the development of the project.
“We are on track with our works program and rapidly advancing towards the much-anticipated production phase,”? he said.
“The excellent gas readings and consistent log interpreted gas pays so far for Tamarama-2 and Tamarama-3 give us confidence that fracture stimulation will deliver a positive result.”?
