Armour Energy has delivered the first gas of commercial production from the Myall Creek 4A Well in PL511 in the Kincora Gas Project, Queensland.
Armour successfully completed its multistage hydraulic stimulation program at the Myall Creek 4A well in early August.
Post hydraulic stimulation clean up at Myall Creek continues, with the current production rate averaging 700,000 scf/d of liquids rich gas.
Since commencing commercial operations on 5 October, instantaneous gas flow rates of up to 3,500,000 scf/d have been achieved.
Myall Creek 4A is the first well drilled, connected and brought into commercial operation since Armour acquired the Kincora Project from Origin Energy in September 2016.
It is also the first well completed under Armour’s $6 million Gas Acceleration Program funding agreement with the Australian Government, which will see the company accelerate drilling, completion and connection of four production wells by June 2019.
The results of the well are currently being analysed and evaluated to be used to plan well advancement processes for Armour’s drilling and completion operations on the next well in the project.
The Myall Creek 4A development well is 100 per cent owned and operated by Armour Energy.
