Zenith Pacific will construct a gas power station for the Kirkalocka Gold Project.
A wholly-owned subsidiary of Zenith Energy, Zenith Pacific has executed a power purchase agreement with Kirkalocka Gold SPV to build, own and operate the 14.5 MW gas-fired power station.
The facility will comprise 9.9 MW gas-fired and circa 4.6 MW of diesel back-up power generation in order to reliably service the power needs of the mine, located approximately 70 km south of Mount Magnet in Western Australia.
Zenith Energy Managing Director Hamish Moffat said the company was very happy with the deal.
“This agreement is further demonstration of Zenith Energy’s ability to deliver innovative, reliable, highly efficient and cost-effective power generation solutions to support the diverse needs of our clients in remote locations.”
Power supply will commence in the first quarter of FY20 under and initial 10-year term.
