APLNG hits record sales

Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) recorded its highest ever quarterly revenue in the first period of 2019, according to Origin Energy.

Origin earned $763.9 million in revenue from its stake in APLNG for the period ending 31 March 2019, a 53 per cent increase compared to the previous corresponding period.

Origin’s share of production totalled 64 PJ of gas, while a total of 33 LNG cargoes were loaded and shipped from the project over the three months.

The numbers continued the upward trend for APLNG, which produced a then-record quarterly revenue of $741 million for Origin in the period ending December 31 2018.

“This result was driven by continued reliable operational performance and higher realised commodity prices,” said Origin CEO Frank Calabria.

Origin has a 37.5 per cent stake in APLNG, while ConocoPhillips (37.5 per cent) and Sinopec (25 per cent) are the other equity partners.
