Kincora plant back online

The Kincora Gas Plant is back online after the completion of repairs.

Three weeks ago, Armour Energy reported the plant had suffered an outage on its C101 compressor – an integral part of the LPG gas circuit and a component required to produce sales quality gas for export to the market.

The company now reports the plant is back online, with Armour having also made the decision to complete additional maintenance activities during the outage that were scheduled for later this year.

Gas production from the Kincora Gas Project is now back at 9 TJ/d, 2 TJ/d of which is produced from the Newstead Storage Facility.

Armour is the 100 per cent owner of the project and is currently preparing to mobilise a drilling rig to spud the first development well in a new program next month.

Service contracts for the program are currently being finalised and the wells have been designed to be drilled to a depth of approximately 2,100 m.

The new wells will contribute to Armour targeted 20 TJ/d of gas sales.

The Kincora Gas Project is located in Queensland’s Bowen Basin.
